How do you wash a dog bed?

Does your dog love muddy adventures or splashing around in the water? Then chances are their bed could use a regular wash. Don't worry: cleaning a Lex&Max dog bed is easier than you think. In this blog post, we'll explain step-by-step how to do it.

Why is washing important?

A fresh sleeping spot isn't just nice for your dog, it's also hygienic for your home. Regularly washing the bed prevents dirt, bacteria, and unpleasant odors from building up in the fabric.

This is how you wash the dog basket:

1. Turn the basket inside out so that you can easily access all the zippers.
2. Unzip all compartments and take out the fillings
3. Close the largest zipper and fold the flaps inward, placing them inside the sleeping compartment. Then zip this compartment closed as well.
4. Wash the cover at a maximum of 30°C. Preferably use a mild detergent without bleach.
5. If necessary, place the cover in a washing bag for extra protection of the fabric and zippers.
6. Let the cover air dry, do not put it in the dryer!
7. Once the cover is completely dry, unzip everything again and place the fillings in the edges first.
8. Finally, the inner cushion of the lying surface goes in.
9. Fold the basket neatly back into shape and it's ready for use again!
